By accessing or using Portamento (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service is a portfolio-tracking and educational tool that lets you record holdings and view summaries, analysis, and diversification information. Market data, news summaries, and analyst responses are presently simulated or generated for illustration and may not reflect real, current, or accurate market conditions.
Nothing in the Service constitutes investment, financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. You are solely responsible for your own decisions. Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Always do your own research and consider consulting a licensed professional.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your password secure, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
You agree not to misuse the Service. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data shown is accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Portamento and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any investment losses.
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the Service or other users.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

We collect the information you provide when you create an account — your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). We also collect the portfolio entries you choose to add, and basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, gathered through standard server logs and cookies.
We use cookies that are necessary for authentication and core functionality (for example, to keep you logged in). We do not use them to sell your data.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting), under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or where required by law.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted authentication, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations.
